I’m Marc Widmann – a project professional by conviction, a coach by passion, and a sparring partner for those who want to make a real impact in complex environments.
For over 25 years, I’ve been supporting leaders and project owners not only in launching their initiatives, but in successfully seeing them through – with clarity, structure, and a keen sense for the dynamics between strategy, organization, and execution. Whether it’s a major transformation, a critical project, or a creeping crisis – my approach is always effective, committed, and clear.
What sets me apart? I combine solid management experience with methodological excellence and a pragmatic mindset. I’m not about rigid frameworks or trendy buzzwords – I focus on enabling real progress. Be it through personal coaching, compact project audits, or focused impulse formats for teams, leadership, and change.
What drives me most is the future of work: how leadership, decisions and projects change when AI works alongside us. I work every day with a team of more than a dozen AI agent team members myself, and I see first-hand what works well and where things go wrong. My guiding question: how do we lead teams in which people and AI agents work together – without handing over our own judgment? I write about this here on my blog and in my monthly newsletter, and I speak about it on stage.

Alongside my professional work, I volunteer with GPM, the German Association for Project Management: I lead the Next Generation Leadership special interest group and serve as an assessor for individual project management certification. I care deeply about advancing quality and professionalism in the project landscape – and about shaping the next generation of leadership.
I’m a husband and father of two sons, living in Frankfurt/Rhine-Main, Germany. I find balance in nature – ideally with a camera in hand. Photography is my way of focusing on what truly matters – a quality it shares with good project management.
